The Lewis Capaldi doc is great & quite an eye opener re his struggles. LOVED Raindogs, Fleishman & the Brooke Shields doc. Really a miracle how she seems to have turned out. X
Came here to say the same. I love its slow unfurling, the without-comment snippets that gradually explain/expose the characters. I’m only 3 eps in and am drip feeding (I prefer delayed gratification).
Jury Duty (on amazon prime in the US) is low stakes, goofy fun. Spinal Tap meets the Truman Show in the courtroom, except one juror thinks everything is completely real
My best friend won’t stop going on about Jury Duty, it is *so* not the kind of thing I gravitate towards, but I’ve promised I will watch it if she will watch Colin From Accounts
I have actually bailed on Succession as I found it quite repetitive (essentially a hostile takeover done 48 times) but I like all these recommendations containing the word “yellow”
I really enjoyed bad sisters, although I'm sure you've watched. I also really loved a show called doll and em. It aired ages ago but its still on sky. I think you'd really like it actually. Just discovered your substack and I'm so happy I have x
Surely you’ve inhaled ‘White Lotus’ already? (I did.) There was a fab episode on the ‘sentimental garbage’ pod exploring why we enjoy watching - quite simply - repugnant, rich characters on TV.
Shrinking had given me hope in TV once again.

You should definitely watch Beef on Netflix - excellent show, beautifully shot, written and acted.
Yes!! I watched one episode and adored it and meant to go back. I shall do
Agreed!!!

I agree with you, Mia.
Succession, Yellowjackets, Yellowstone and ITVX’s The Real Crown

I second Beef on Netflix!
Thank you so much for your recommendations! I've watched and loved all of them.
