A bitter learning of my time on this earth is that I can’t pull off hats with any kind of aplomb (non-plomb?) and I don’t feel myself in statement jewellery, and so I’ve decided that neckerchiefs are to be my thing.
I love these unisex cotton bandanas at Toast. Look how chic this dude looks in the yellow! And I really dig the tonal-blocking on this lady, with 3 layers of blue. Small accessory, maximum impact.
I went on a birthday trip to Stockholm last weekend and made vintage shopping the priority. It’s so rare that I get to do a full day, in person, and it was an absolute delight - they have such a good range of vintage stores there. (Actually, I find that every city has great vintage stores, if you extensively Google beforehand and ask each vintage store you go in, to recommend another one!)
I was thrilled to discover that one of my favourites Reys Market has an e-store - and even better it’s in English, hurrah for dummies like me - featuring some of my favourite things that I saw in store, like this Calvin Klein leather bomber and this Baywatch tee.
Another of the really good ones, Myrorna, also has an online store - although confusingly they appear to sell their stuff through another auction site called Tradera. Nevertheless, some great pieces on there, like this Josef Frank fabric, candelabra and vintage dala horses and it can be translated into English, too. (When a website doesn’t offer translation, incidentally, I just settle down for a non-specific free-scroll and keep the Google translate tab open!)
