The List #04
Vintage bits and indie buys, foraged by me 4 u. Today: a '60s wine holder, ceramic pomegranates and a bargainous muscle soak
Recycle for Greater Manchester I stumbled across RG4M three years ago when I bought my daughter hand-decorated nightstand for just £20. Really good prices and all the money goes to charitable initiatives in Greater Manchester. I love these Bentwood cane and bamboo chairs. (I recommend Shiply btw for transporting stuff you’ve bught online from elsewhere in the UK.)
El Consulado ceramic pomegranates These clearly come under the ‘totally unnecessary but joyful’ category. They’re handmade in Spain by a small ceramics studio (they make loads of other beautiful pieces too, fyi.) Keep them in a big woven bowl on a counter top or as a centre piece on your kitchen table.
Bold Bean Company My old pod wife Dolly bravely put aside her writing deadline indulged in some procrastination and sent me some of her favourite things. “I heard about these on a Radio 4 show about how beans are the future” she said. “They said that these ones taste so good you don’t need any dressing. And it’s true” she said, “they’re unbelievable”. So there you go.
Midcentury bird wine holder The most daft and brilliant vintage thing I’ve found this week, airlifted from a French dinner party in the 1960s.
