three homegrown movies I've watched in the last month and want to talk about

Do you ever find yourself in something of a paper chain when it comes to what you watch? I frequently choose a movie based on an actor in, or the director of, the one I’ve just watched. I’ll set upon the director, say, and then watch three films in a row by them. I rarely make it through their whole canon before I get distracted by a new snake or ladder, but the three movies I’ve watched in the last month (aside from the impressive and nutty Poor Things, which I spoke about in Tuesday’s letter) all relate to each other in some way. That seemed too delicious not to talk about!
