I can't resist a family saga

It was the chatter that drew me to The Bee Sting. It should have won the Booker! I kept reading in various corners of the internet. (There is often hoo-ha around The Booker: some of you may remember there was a lot of both hoo and ha, when The Booker was awarded joint to Margaret Atwood and Bernadine Evaristo.) And so I bought myself a copy of the contested winning novel, The Prophet Song, and a copy of The Bee Sting.
