Book Thoughts: Hello Beautiful by Ann Napolitano

The excellently named Ann Napolitano has written four novels in two decades but I’d never read her work before Hello Beautiful. Published this year, it was a NYT bestseller and Oprah’s book club pick (a huge accolade in the States, it essentially guarantees bestseller status). Immediate thoughts when this proof landed on my desk: earnest slightly James Blunt-y title (I don’t hate it), a beautiful cover and mega endorsements, from The Paper Palace ’s Miranda Howley Heller, Marian Keyes (needs no intro) and Ask Again, Yes author Mary Beth Keane. It’s also published by Viking, at Penguin Random House, an imprint with excellent taste. So what did I think?
