Just dropping in to co-sign that whoopie cushions are ridiculously fun.

Fart spray is also engrained in my olfactory memory. A horrible boy sprayed me with it on a school trip to the seaside many moons ago! I enjoyed Vladimir. Leo Woodall wasn’t convincing, I agree with your friend, but I would listen to him read the phone book. His body is off the map!😮‍💨🫠

Hahahha I bought my spray from the seaside, turns out the British seaside is a fart spray destination

I have a screenshot from someone called Meg on Notes from last Summer ~

During my english lit degree I created a list of all the words from readings that I wanted to add to my vocabulary.

In keeping with the season, here's a word from that list:

Apricate — to bask in the sun

I just thought it was the most beautiful word 😍☀️😍

Someone has already emailed to let me know I spelt it wrong 😆 APRICITY. Still stand by the rest (and will you share your list!!!)

I was wondering if it was the same word. There's a restaurant in London by the same name, in case of interest!

Sadly the list wasn’t mine! I was quoting my screenshot. Will tag you on her note though and you can ask her 🥰

Once, in Dover Street Market, Scott Schuman raised his camera at me, paused, and then lowered it again. I couldn’t bear it.

I can't work out what this connects to in the newsletter, but I don't actually care, it's a top humble brag (as in - literally - humility)

New here. Still getting the hang of it. Connects to nothing. The wound has never healed.

hahahahahahaha

I’m a new paying subscriber to your newsletter & definitely great value …I really enjoy your writing..Thankyou

Andrew O Hagans piece on Andrew was exactly as you described! Ugh what absolute vile individuals Andrew & his ex are .

I’ve just discovered today that I can get Disney + included in my Sky subscription..am beyond thrilled that I can now watch the JFK jnr drama that everyone is recommending.

Welcome, Beverly! I was *also* thrilled when I received this letter from Sky. One less streaming platform to pay for 🥵

Because of your post, I went to Netflix and dug up Manosphere. What a horrid group of people, I couldn't even continue after watching maybe 40% of it. Not because it wasn't fascinating, but because my stomach just couldn't fathom thinking the way those men do. CRINGE.

My co-producer and my best friend also quit less than half way thru! So you are not alone. I was totally fascinated but partly bc I’ve been researching the history of masculinity crises (plural) so it came to me at a time when I was already so tuned in to it

I’m having to take the doc in small doses. It reminds me too much of what I encounter on dating apps these days.

That Orlando Bloom quote is hilarious! And I particularly love how he spends his time 'dreaming' about roles for himself and others - minorities and and women... has he ever followed through, I wonder?

Pandora Sykes's avatar

We need a part 2. Or as he would definitely call it, a numero dos

Omg FART SPRAY. How did my brain forget this was a thing?! I too can still remember its lingering scent

It is apricity my lovely 💋 Pedantry is clearly my personal enemy and I am so sorry 😞

Pandora Sykes's avatar

Pedantry is my love language. And haha yes I noted that in the comments already, VERY ANNOYING of me (it’s because I heard it on a video rather than read it)
