So glad to find this as I finished it 2 days ago and have nobody to talk to about it!! Love what you both/ everyone is saying about how hugely unreliable her POV is - there’s a certain section I think you can read into in very different ways….I literally said YES when you mentioned Ruby Franke even though it didn’t appear to be as violent as her but more a just lack of interest until the kids become useful to her? Really interesting concept, really great discussion, but absolutely agree with your conclusions. ❤️

This is exactly what I needed after reading Yesteryear, I was nodding my head along with both of your thoughts. Natalie is one of the most fascinating unlikeable narrators I've read in a long time. I kept waiting for her to have some kind of self-awareness or empathy, and she never got there. I absolutely tore through this to find out what happened at the end.
