I can’t wait to read this one!! As an author I tend to shy away from books about the publishing industry in case they make me feel too ~ existential ~ but this just sounds so much fun.
I read Kin in the hopes of seeing the chat here unfold ? Will you revisit? Also, if you haven’t yet, the Margot’s got money trouble Apple adaptation is doing the book justice! Not often one can say that but it truly is - even the opening sequence feels true to the world of Margot.
We are still planning to do it, yes! I think after Honey (provided it’s waiting for Ochuko in Portland); but we can confirm when we do the next edition.
We go back and forth on this one!! It’s intended to be spoiler filled so we can have a proper chat about it. But appreciate that might catch you off guard as a reader!
This is genuinely one of the best debut fiction books I've read imo. I was shook - all the way through. Loved how insidious Ronan's character is and the ending had a Death of a Bookseller / Misery vibe for me.
Your timing is impeccable - I was halfway through Yesteryear when that post dropped and now I’m just diving into Fruit Fly. Can’t wait to come back and read your thoughts 🙌

It is! And as a non writer I love reading about that world !
It IS fun. And thoughtful. Just the right pinch of meta

Honey is in my hands and Kin coming up next! I’ve heard GREAT things!
I’d love to hear you both discuss Kin - I just finished it! And I haven’t read the book but loved the TV version of Margo’s Got Money Troubles
Oooo maybe this is the sign I need to pick that book up?
Enjoyed reading until I hit spoilers. Guess in reading this asap so I can finish this lovely post!
Yikes! Come back and let us know what you think

“Virginia Woolf was a fucking mood” is sending me. Adding to my list on that quote alone.
Want it on a t-shirt
Genuinely laughed out loud on that one
